Had Total Thyroidectomy. Having Weightgain, Osteoarthritis, Depression, Low Energy, Short Of Breath, Headache. Take Magnesium?
I am 59 yr. I had a total thyroidectomy 11 yrs ago. Levels are always changing. 35 pound weight gain. Osteoarthritis . Depression low energy. Short of breath. Very bad headaches 3 to 4 a week. Sleep problems. Wake every two hours and once or twice a month insomnia . Lately very bad muscle aches in arms. Will magnesium help? I just started D3 and calcium. 5HTP.. YYYY@YYYY
Considering your history of thyroid surgery, many of your problems may be related to hypothyroidism. I would prefer to check your thyroid functions in blood and consider treatment with thyroxine. Again many of your features may also be related to menopause.
