Had Two Miscarriages. Done Anual Pap Smear. Started Spotting, Missed Periods. Pregnant?

Hi Doctors! I had my anual pap smear today, two months after a natural miscarriage, the second this year. In 18 years doing this kind of exam, I never bled; but today, two hours after the exam, I started spotting. Is this normal, or can I be pregnant again? I have not had a period since my miscarriage August the 17th (I am pretty regular, my cycles are of 31 days), and we're just using condoms. I'm 36 years old. Thank you, Bia

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The mild spotting after a pap smear can happen in case of an unhealthy cervix or an infection. This can also be an implantation bleeding. You should get a urine test done to find out about the pregnancy.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
