Had Unprotected Sex. Diagosed With Candida. Swollen Penis Hole, White Dots. Negative Urine And Blood Test. Taken Doryx
Hi,
I had unprotected sex about a month ago. I went to the doctor and after a physical exam they said I have candida. I had small white pimples underneath the head of my penis and some irritation. I took a pill and used a cream for a week which calmed everything down. However, my pee hole is still very swollen and the white dots have not disappeared. I've been to the doctors 3 times, had a urine and blood test which all came out negative. I've taken antibiotics such as Doryx and a lot of other creams, some anti-bacterial others anti-fungal. I spoke to the girl I had unprotected sex with and she said she had candida. Could it be possible I do have candida which wasn't picked up from the urine test? Could the candida be somewhere else like my stomach etc. but the antibiotics haven't worked. Please help?

You are worrying too much for the candida infection, if you are immunologically strong then it will be just limited to skin only,it will take time to heal. You are adviced to just eat regular antifungal drugs from your general physician or from STD clinic.
As far as Doryx (Doxycycline Hyclate) is concerned, its a broad spectrum antibiotic, its not antifungal !!!.It might have been prescribed to you to prevent any more bacterial infection. I think the cream is a antifungal cream, with no oral antifungal prescribed.
Candida infection is limited to skin only, not inside body so you cant find urine report positive, rather skin scraping and its observation under microscope/culture in SDA agar medium will confirm for candida.
