Had Unprotected Sex. Had Light Bleeding During Periods. Reason?
I had my period over the last week of december the 23-27, and then went to visit my boyfriend and had unprotected sex. i recently just got off the pill . I stayed with him from the 27-5 and we had sex throughout that week. when i got back to school in la on the 6 i started bleeding slightly and thought i was starting my period again but it was very light and stopped on the 8th suddenly. what could it be
Hi, Thanks for the query. The possible causes for your spotting are : - Post coital bleeding. Sometimes abrasions or tears due to intercourse can lead to spotting for few days. -Ovulatory bleeding. According to your last menstrual period, the spotting you had could be ovulatory bleeding also. -Rarely in case of early ovulation, that could be implantation bleeding also. - Hormonal imbalance leading to intermenstrual spotting. So, wait till your expected date of periods. If you get the periods as expected, no need to worry. If you do not get the periods on around the expected date, go for pregnancy test once. Take care.
