Had Unprotected Sex. Tested Negative For Chlamydia. Partner Tested Positive. What Is Happening?

I recently came back from afghanistan, had unprotected sex with my gf of 5 years, i went to florida for a week and she went to her annual gyno exam, she was told she was tested possitive for chlamydia. so of course she blamed me, i went and got tested and so did she, we both got results back today, i was negative for everything, she tested positvie again, what is happening?

It is prudent to treat both partners simeltaneously despite your negative test which may be a false negative.This will prevent passing of the infection to and fro.The females usually have cervicitis and deeper genital infections.A urethral swab may be positive in men,more sensitive tests like PCR tests may be positive in bothpartners.
