Had Unprotected Sex. Used Birth Control Pill. Had Infection, Took Antibiotics. Feeling Nauseous And Have Sore Nipples. Normal? Pregnant?
Hey, so I had unprotected sex 2 weeks ago, I took plan b after. I then got a bladder infection & got put on antibiotics, my doctor told me sometimes antibiotics can decrease the efficency of birthcontrol. I've been on birthcontrol for years now. But she also told me that if I do have sex use a back up birthcontrol like a condom & potentially double up on my birthcontrol pills. So just to be on the safe side I did both & now I'm nauseous & my nipples are sore. Am I pregnant or is it normal for these symptoms to appear after doubling up on birthcontrol?
Contraceptive methods used normal day to day routine have an acceptable effectiveness especially when two different methods are used at the same time such as use of barrier ( condom) and hormonal ( pills ).
It is less likely that you are pregnant because f the fact that you used two separate methods of contraceptive.
The effects yo uhave such as the sore breast, nausea are side effects of the double dose of pills you took. Pills are made up of hormones which can cause the above symptoms.
Hope this helps you. Best regards Dr Achuo
