Had Unprotected Sex, Missed Pills. Taking Althea. Possibility Of Pregnancy?

Hi doc ive been using althea pills..im on a second week now..i missed 1pill this 10th of august and have unprotected sex morning of the 11th of august.i took the missed pill 3pm in the afternoon in the 11th of august.same day that i had sex and take the other in regular time in eve..will i be pregnant?i always gorgot to take pills sometime in a week but take it as soon as i remember.my problem noe is the day that i missed 1 pill and have unprotected sex.tnx

Hi,

Welcome to HCM,

Oral contraceptives gives best results if taken regularly and at same time every day.

These pills prevent ovulation. When you miss a dose, your protection decreases.

Now you should avoid unprotected sex during remaining part of cycle.

If your period doesn't start within a week of due date, do pregnancy test and take action according to report.
