Had Unprotected Sex, Putting On Weight, Stomach Swollen. Pregnancy Test Negative. Taking Microgynon. Any Effect If Pregnant?

Hello,

I had unprotected sex about 2 months ago. I did 3 tests on the 3rd week, but they were all negative. I have been eating regularly, but seem to be putting on weight. My stomach seems swollen. Is there any chance I could be pregnant? I have been taking Microgynon 30 for the past 3 weeks, could that do anything bad if I was to be pregnant? I am very confused.

Thanks.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

If the tests were done 3 weeks after intercourse , then they should have reflected pregnancy at that time.

If you wish to confirm those previous results then you can consider repeating the test at this stage because it would give a definitive answer.

The use of hormonal medications during pregnancy can affect a growing fetus in some cases but this is assessed via ultrasound looking for any abnormalities.

I hope this helps
