Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My extremely fit 17 yr old daugher had walking pneumonia and now two months later still cannot run, or skate. climbing stairs causes shortness of breath and rapid heart rate, and Advair and Albuterol inhalers have done little. The ENT started reflux medicine and they are trying to rule out vocal chord dysfunction. Could she just be having asthma attacks and recovering from her illness? we have pulmonary function testing, echochardiogram and Holter monitor tests scheduled. Thoughts?
