Hai Doc, So Here How All This Started.. My Husband

Hai Doc,

So here how all this started.. My husband is a regular blood donor.. The last he donated blood was somewhere on April/May 2018..All these years everything was fine during the donation.. But upon the last donation, he received a letter from National Blood Bank Malaysia to present at blood bank as said to be his blood reading was unusual.. On 5/7/2018 they withdrawn his blood for a test(he was not informed why) he assumed its a normal test.. Later on 5/7/2018 evening he required to collect his result and he was informed that he is hiv positive.. He was directed to government hospital and the doctor in the hospital failed to detect any physical symptoms that can relate to hiv..So they finally decided to perform another test.. The specialist informed hin that the infection should have been obtained this year since he is a regular donor..As for my best understanding, we discussed about this he did not engage into unprotected /uncontrolled sex.. He is not into drugs, and I am very sure had not injuries on his body to get the infection through blood contact..
According to him he was in trauma that all of sudden he was informed to be hiv positive so he was not in a state of mind to ask what are the test being done on his blood sample.. My question..
1)since he got his result on the same day could it be a rapid test? How accurate is the rapid test result?
2)no physical abnormalities since May 2018 and doctor find it doubtful to match with the result ,could it be other condition that show the virus as reactive?
3)what is the time frame to obtain result from ELISA or WESTERN BLOT TEST is I doubt they didn't do both..
4)He is sick, had viral fever, flu for 3 continues days (2/7/2018-4/7/2018) and was on medication. His blood sample was withdrawn on 5/7/2018 for the test.. So could his weak immune system and antibody lead the hiv result to be positive?

I am extremely worried about him.. He doesn't want me to share about this with anyone yet so I have no choice but to ask your advise.. Hope to hear from you soon.. Thanks..
