Halo. I Am Making An Enquiry About Symptoms Of Cirrosis
Halo. I am making an enquiry about symptoms of Cirrosis of the liver. My husband has been diagnosed with this desease brought about by obesity, sugar diabetis type 2 and high blood pressure. He had a endoscopy and it was discovered he had many large blood veins. He was prescribed tablets which he could not continue with due to extremely bad side effects. The treatment now is to have endoscopies every 4 weeks so as to "band" these vessels. He has had the first treatment which left him in considerable pain for a few days. He is due to have the next treatment next week. I am concerned as I have noticed over the last few days, that he has become extremely slow, very fatigued and not at all motivated. This is not like him. He has been an extremely active person and although he is 77 he has been working physically very hard until this diagnosis. He doesn't want to talk about it to me as I am having treatment for breast cancer and he doesn't want to worry me with his problems. It worries me more that he doesn't talk to me. Should I contact his gastroentologist for a privat appointment? Would that be a normal thing to do? Awaiting your reply.
