Hard Bony Mass Around The Medal End Of Clavicle Visible To Eye. No Pain. X-ray Showed No Signs Of Bone Spur Or Calcium Deposit. Any Ideas?
Hi, I Have a hard bony 4mm by 4mm mass around the medal end of the clavicle. I just noticed it a week ago. There is no pain, it is hard like bone and does not move. It is visible to the eye. My Dr thought it might be a bone spur or calcium deposit so he ordered an x-ray, the x-ray came back normal. What else could it be?
As per your signs and symptoms most common probability of costochondritis can be suspected. This is cartilage deposition around joint ,which is not visible on x ray as there is no ossification. You may need some anti inflammatory medication with calcium and vit D supplement. just wait and watch till its not increasing in size or giving pain.
I hope that I have answered your query. Let me know if I can help you further. Take care
