Hard Bump In Palm, Cannot Straighten Finger, Painful When Straightening
Hello. Here are my symtoms:
Right hand in palm, just under middle knuckle: -hard bump (not too big) -restricts finger from strightening - only painful when i try to straighten -relax =doesnt hurt -when i make a fist=slight discomfort - started hurting after I started dancing salsa. Noticed pain when I was turned by my partner.
It would be necessary to get a clinical evaluation. This could be a cyst, tissue or tumoral or a growth at the level mof the bone. A complete clinical and orthopedic review would be necessary to make a decision. This shall be based on tissue or growth type, nearby organs and signs of neurologic lesions if any. Other tests like biopsy or x rays would be asked based on the case. A complete clinical review and paraclinical tests are needed to come to a reasonable clinical decision. I would strongly suggest the opinion of an orthopedic surgeon under such circumstances.
Thanks and hope this helps.
Kind regards,
Bain LE, MD.
