Hard, Moveable, Slightly Itchy Bumps Under The Skin In Labia Majora. Sexually Inactive. What Could This Be?

Hi.

I am a 23 year old girl. I have had some hard bumps underneath the skin of my labia majora for about 5 years. The bumps are somewhat hard and pea-sized. When I grasp them between my thumb and finger, they are movable underneath the skin. They sometimes disappear but about three of the bumps haven't ever disappeared for about a year. They don't hurt but sometimes when I sweat a lot or exercise, they itch a bit. I don't know what they are and I would like to know how to get rid of them. I am not scared it is an STD, because I have never had sex before. But I am worried nonetheless. I really look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you.

Could probably just folliculitis. It's a bacterial skin infection that can resolve on its own. Bacteria grows on your hair follicles, in your case, pubic hair. this could also be a result from shaving or use of depilatory products. No need to be concerned specially if the nodules do not seem to increase in size.
