Hard Stool Up I Her Colon. X-rays Showed No Objection. Oils, Fiber, Lactulose, Softeners Have Not Worked. Advice?

hello. My mother has a hard stool high up in her colon that will not budge. 1 week in the hospital nearly killed her and 3 xrays later shows no change. No obstruction; full digestive tract and no change. What are the recourses for an 87 year old Alzheimer's patient? Oils, fiber, enemas, lactulose, stool softeners, water, suppositories have not worked.

Hello! Thanks for putting query in HCM.

Give her polyethylene glycol (peglac) 1 sachet and dissolved it in 2 litre of water and ask her to drink it slowly over few hours. If not relieved, give another sachet in same manner. Still no effect then manual evacuation is advised

I hope this will relieve her symptoms
