Has Peg Tube, Always Leaking. What Is This Leaking Mean?

Hi Doc! my wife has a Peg tube it was done last june and until now its still there and always leaking. what is this leaking mean? An average of 3 times dressing a day makes her skin around peg tube very irritating and painful. What is your advice with this? Thanks - Emilio of Boonton, NJ

I think you need to visit your surgeon immediately. She may be at a high risk of infection like this. The PEG may need to be changed or removed altogether for a while.

But pain and irritation are not good signs.
Get a CBC
