Has Uterus TB. Done With Hysteroscopy, HSG And Noticed A Septum In Front Of The FT. Advised To Take ATT Drug. Chances Of Pregnancy?
My wife has Uterus TB,it got diagnosis when we were trying to have baby.We did histroscopy and HSG, there is one septum in front of one of the FT of my wife and it is not visible through HSG test it was clearly seen during Histroscopy. We did TB Ferron test after that and found positive and doctor suggested that could be the reason for not getting pregnent and blockage of one FT.Dr. still suggest that you can get pregnent with one FT as well but doesnot say whether another FT is fine or having infection to.Wife has some ovulation issues as well for that we are doing folicile study each month. Now Dr. suggested to start ATT drug for TB and do not try to conceive for 3 months. We have doubt ifmy wife able to conceive than also there will be problem for child growth due to septum? Can you please suggest what should be done in such scenarion,What are the chances of getting pregnent ?
Hello. Thanks for writing to us. The adhesions that you are having could be related to tubercular infection. Taking ATT will considerably increase your chances of conception. The septum may persist even after treatment. I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you. Regards, Dr. Rakhi Tayal , drrakhitayal@gmail.com
