Has A Knot The Size Of A Bean In Jaw Area And It S Able To Move. I Just Want To Know What Is It?

Hi my 7 year old son has a knot the size of a bean in his jaw area and it's able to moves around when you touch it he has had it for 3days now. It harts by the touch but sore . The only reason why he hasn't seen a doctor yet because my older son had the Sam problem and his went away with thine 4days . I just want to know doc what is it?

Hi there ~

I understand your concern. I also understand that you are anxious about your son having this know size of a bean in his jaw. However, it may be many things, the most common being a lymph node. I think it may be helpful to have this checked out by a doctor, however waiting for a few more days would be equally useful as it may just go away. I hope he does not have any other symptoms like fever etc, for which you need to see a pediatrician as soon as possible. I hope this helps. Take care and have a lovely day!
