HI, thanks for using healthcare magic
Emergency
contraception is effective if taken within 72 hours with the effectiveness increasing the sooner it is taken.
Since you took it within 25 hours, it would likely be effective.
This pill would cover your sexual activity just prior to taking it, it will not protect against any activity done subsequently.
This form of contraception is not meant to be used as a consistent type of birth control.
It would be best to start another method to reduce the chance of unplanned
pregnancy.
The other available methods are oral contraceptives, injection, intrauterine devices, patches, sterilisation procedures and condoms.
Out of the above mentioned condoms are the only ones that would also provide protection against any sexually transmitted infections.
You can consider speaking to your doctor to find a method that would work best for you.
I hope this helps
