Has Sporadic Chest Pain, Lightheadedness. Is It Lung Tumor?

46 year old male, light smoker, light drinker, eat healthy, good shape both physical and mental. Been having sporadic chest pains (sometimes sharp like a knife or dull, achy), lasting only seconds at a time. Very sporadic in occurrence. Sometimes days or weeks without any signs. Left side, center and right side chest. Sometimes light headed feelings accompany the pains. Blood pressure is good, blood work is good, no cholesterol problems. Had treadmill stress test 1 year ago. Better results than normal according to testing physician. Could this be signs of lung tumor?

Hi friend,
Welcome to Health Care Magic

The symptoms do not suggest a lung tumour...
What is the feature that prompted you to consider it?
A CT scan will be necessary to exclude.

Well, it is the time to stop smoking and drinking...

An endoscopy to look at the oesophagus and stomach may help
It could be skeletal muscle spasm - muscle relaxants may help

Take care
Wishing speedy recovery
God bless
Good luck

Psychiatrist Dr. Srikanth Reddy's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for posting a query in health care magic.
From the description that you have stated it appears that your pain is non-cardiac. The most common of non-cardiac pain is either gastritis / reflux disease or musculo-skeletal. You should undergo a course of anti acids for 1-2 months and bring about dietary modifications.
Also get an X-ray of chest done to rule out any skeletal cause. Do you remember of having suffered any trauma around the onset of the pain.
lastly answering your specific question- it is highly unlikely that the above symptoms are due to any lung cancer.
Hope I am able to solve your concerns.
