I am a sr with hep c and have hyperthyroid issues as well, the meds for the thyroid had bad effects and didn't see them improving me much, but then as I am lo income, I cant get tested enough to know ongoing. Now I have and do tons of research on hep c continually and have learned thyroid issues, (hypo) averages about 10% of those infected. I don't get the feeling though that in general doctors are not really up on hep c, even gastro's its questionable. Whats happening in the med field in educating drs anyway, and can you advise on how to have my issues addressed better. I have gone to 4 different gastro's and its pretty much the same.
