Have Idiopathic Guttate Hypomelanosis, Light Brown Spots On Thighs. Will Dermabrasion Help Clear Up?

I am pretty certain that I have Idiopathic Guttate Hypomelanosis. and light brown spots ar coupled with it, almost like dozens of YYYY@YYYY . Mostly legs but some on upper thighs as well. I have spent a lot of time in the sun all my life and I tan very easily. People always think that I have been on vacation.

What can I use to reverse this? Will Dermabrasion remove the layer of skin and clear it up?

Hi,

Idiopathic guttate hypomelanosis is condition featured with small depigmented white macules. They are benign and considered a result of ageing process. They may be exacerbated by sun exposure.there is no tratment to reverse the the color. Retinoic acid application might be helpful.

The other lesions you told brown patches and macules. That may be solar lentigo. They are also difficult to treat. Kojic acid application may be tried. It is also exacerbated by sun exposure. To prevent further development, you apply sun screen gel and avoid exposure to sun. Take vitamin C,antioxidants and vitamin E for long time.

I hope you got my answer.

Thanks.
