Have MS. Weight Loss, Appetite Loss. What Can I Do?

Hi,
I have had MS now for 13 years, I have been going through a rough couple months and also started a new medicine. I have not been eating well at all, I never was a good eater, but now I don't even get hungry, when I do eat, it is only because I know I have too. I am 41 years old and have lost quite a bit of weight, no food tastes that good to me because my taste buds seem to have been affected, what can I do? I may need to drink something to replace the vitamins I have lost, I am also getting many unexplained bruises. Please help

Hi

thanks for asking.

unexplained reduction in appetite along with bruises with a relation with starting up of the new medication can be because of the liver problems.

liver inflammations which are quite common with the starting up of the new medications can present in that way, the best way will be to consult a doctor to get the liver function checked.

some times if the injury to the liver is too much it may need stopping the medication or reducing the dose.

Thanks.
