Have Mirena. Earlier Had BV And Spotting. Now Delayed Period, Weight Loss. Normal For Cycle To Change?
I've had my mirena for almost two years now. Never really had any problems with it. I've always had periods and spotting though. I developed bv and tried to treat it over the counter with vh essentials bv treatment, it worked while I was using it but as soon as I stopped it came back. I had cramping and had a really heavy painful period for over a week, then continued to spot on and off for about 6-8 weeks. I was concerned about the spotting and planned to call the doctor to get it seen about but out of no where the spotting stopped completely. Now my period is delayed, I'm waiting for my period. I've also lost 25-30 lbs in the last 6 months. Has my cycled changed? Is this normal? I've checked and it feels like my mirena is in place where it should be and I have no pain what so ever. It's very weird!

hi.. you have intrauterine contraceptive device insitu.. you had irregular bleeding and spottting.. it is a common side effect with this.. you have last a significant weight over a period of 6 months.. this calls for the attension.. get one haemoglobin levels done.. and see your gynaecologist for this.. if you have anaemia due to bleeding, you may have to go for its removal.. all the very best..
