I have Myasthenia Gravis, and I always get a flu shot. Do you know the current recommendation for MG patients and flu shots? Some doctors say to avoid the vaccine, because it can stimulate the immune system. Of course, I know you can t get a live vaccine, if you are on immunosupressive drugs. cd

The myasthenia gravis patients who are mostly on immunosuppressant drugs so they are susceptible to bacterial and viral infections.
If you are living in a endemic area then you should get the flu shots yearly for prophylaxis.
The immunization does a highly questionable problem but not taking it will do definite harm if you happen to get flu.
