Have A Bad Taste In Mouth. Feel Mucus Back In The Throat. Taste Like Pus. Got Over A Cold. No Redness, Swollen Glands. Treatment?
I've had a really bad taste in my mouth when I swallow for the past few days and mucus in the back of my throat. The taste reminds me what I imagine pus would taste like. I'm not sick but I just recently got over a cold. I am experiencing no discomfort; there is no redness to my gums, no swollen glands or tonsils. No bad breath as far as I can tell, either. What could it be?

I am suspecting post nasal drip which is excessive nasal secretions dripping in th back of the throat. Viral infections and cold usually trigger this condition. Allergies also cause this. I suggest you take Tab Allegra thrice daily for two days. Drink lots of water. Steam inhalation will also help. Thanks.
