Have A Condition Called Essential Thrombocythemia (high Platelets) Which Led

Have a condition called essential thrombocythemia (high platelets) which led to a TIA (with no residual effects)about 9 months ago. Am now prescribed hydroxyurea, 1000 mg per day. Although this drug has minimal side effects (per doc and everything I read), I am extremely tired most of the time, and I feel like my entire body is "buzzing." These conditions get worse as the day goes on, and I spend much of my time laying around. Also, my platelet count is still high. I need to know what is causing my extreme discomfort? Also, I am positive for Lyme's disease antibodies - could this be contributing to my health issues?
