Hi. I am 23 over all very healthy. I have a dime size lump behind my left ear. Sometimes it hurts other times I forget it's there. It has been there for a long time ( year) but lately when it hurts it sends pain in my ear and behind my left eye. It use to only hurt upon touch. Should I be concerned? What is the cause? Thank you for any information.

Hello.

Thanks for writing to H.C.M. for your query.

I have gone through your query regarding dime size lump behind your left ear. This is for quite a long time and usually does not hurt, it becomes painful on touching.

Considering your complaints it appears as a sebaceous cyst which has got infected now. But it will be better to do FNAC from this lump and than decide for treatment.

Regards.
