ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi,

Your symptoms of the right ear are not due to some infection spreading from the left ear. That cannot happen. So do not worry.

Regarding the problem of ringing in your right ear, there could be many causes. Some of them include side effects of medicines, weakening of the nerve conducting sound from the ear to brain, sometimes even a simple thing like wax in external ear can cause such symptoms. So it will be difficult to point out the reasons. As you have a problem in the left ear, you need to be careful about your right ear.

Firstly, avoid taking any medicines without a doctors prescription. There are many medicines which are harmful for the ears (Ototoxic drugs). Secondly, I suggest you meet an ENT specialist for thorough evaluation and tests if required including an audiogram to understand your hearing levels.

Regards,
Sreenivasan
