Have A Lump Between Urethra And Vaginal Opening. Causing Pain. Swelled Up There. Cure For Symptoms?
I have a lump, about the size of a quater that seems to begin below my urethra and extend in under it into my vaginal opening. It is very hard and is causing serious pain. It is directly between the inner labia. It suddenly appeared about 2 days ago smaller in size but has swelled a lot since I first noticed it. it is causing lots of pressure on my urethra and all around. what could this be and what should I do?

Hi, the swelling you reffer to seems to be A swelling of Bartholin,s gland situated inside labia minora .It is usually due to vaginal infection/unhygine . If it is just the begining it should go with medicines. when Bartholinitis is the diagnosis I usually prescribe antibiotic like Ampicillin, metranidazols, antiinflammatory/analgesics orallyIf there is vaginal dischrge you may need vaginal pesseries . local hygine is a must with warm water &disinfectants. sometimes it turns in an abscess-&may need incision&drainage along with medicines. you should consult your gynac for better assesment of condition &T/t thanks
