Have An Enlarged Uterus. Want To Do Tummy Tuck. Advised To Remove Uterus. Can Hysterectomy, Tummy Tuck Be Performed Together?

I'm 50, 5'8", 200 lbs. had a myomectomy to remove fibroids in 1999 and 2005. Had a c-section in 2006. Consulted with a plastic surgeon about a tummy tuck. Due to an enlarged uterus from fibroids, he said the results would be better if I had the fibroids removed or the uterus removed. Is it possible to have the hysterectomy and tummy tuck performed at the same time?

Hello,

Tummy tuck which you're referring to is due to accumulation of excess fat in that area and stretching of the skin.

A corrective surgery can be done but if you develop another fibroid and want to undergo surgery to remove it then the purpose of the cosmetic will not be fulfilled.
