Have Been Bleeding From My Back Side. Found Clot On The Toilet Paper. Is It Just Hemroids?
I'm a 36 year old female. For the last year I've been bleeding from my back side during my period, which I figured was just from internal hemroids which I got during child labor 12 years ago. However, my last period was March 9th, no period month of April, but bled from my back side for a week...during the time I should have been menstruating. Now, I'm almost at 8 weeks since last period and for the past 3 days again bleeding from back side. Always a clot on the toilet paper and then what looks like thin bloody tissue in toilet. Every time I wipe bright red blood on toilet paper. Sometimes during the day I get a sharp pain that only lasts for a second right about at the sphincter. This time I also feel slightly nauseous. Is it just hemroids?
Hello. Thanks for writing to us. The bleeding from the rectum can be due to hemorrhoids , piles or a small polyp in the area. A direct examination is needed for proper diagnosis. Do consult a surgeon. I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you. Regards, Dr. Rakhi Tayal , drrakhitayal@gmail.com
