Have Been Experiencing Extreme Thirst Due To Which Consumption Of Water Is High And Frequent Urination. Can This Be Diabetes?

Hello, For the past week I ve been feeling extremely thirsty and constantly drinking. With this I m frequently going to the bathroom, sometimes twice in an hour. I am a 31 year old female, overweight at 84kgs and 5 4 in height. I m worried this could be symptoms of diabetes. My uncle is the only person in the family who has type 1 diabetes.

Diabetologist 's  Response
Dear sir

As it appears from the symptoms you are having increased frequency of urination and increased thirst. It appears from the symptoms you are having high blood sugars, it might be diabetes insupidus or mellitus

But to confirm it, you need to do urine and blood investigations.

Routine glucose profile with hba1c, urine routine examination.

Thanks
