Have Bleeding, Clots, Failed Abortion, Endometrial Thickening. Taken Cytotic Vaginal. Help?
Hi ,i took 2 tablet cytotic vaginal and 2 orally 5 days befor,i started bleeding with small cltts after intake i bleed one more evening next day no bleeding at all after 3 days i bleed little with some shreds and no more .is this failed abortion i am supposed to be 3 week pregnancy u/s shows endometrial thickening and very smal sac with well defined corpus luteum
If the ultrasound shows a small sac in the uterus, then there are products of conception present in the uterus. The corpus luteum is normally supposed to be visible shortly after even a successful abortion as seen on the ultrasound.
It could actually be a failed abortion or an incomplete abortion. A follow up ultrasound in a few weeks should be able to shed more light on this. For now, i will advice you to sit and observe. If you get any concerning symptoms, contact the doctor. Otherwise, control this ultrasound in 2-4weeks to get a definite answer.
Please, abortion is not a method of contraception. I will like to suggest that you consider using a contraceptive method and protected sex in order to avaoid unwanted pregnancies.
Hope this helps and provides guidance to you. Wish you good health. Dr. Ditah, MD.
