Have Boils On The Chin After Being Diagnosed With BA

i was recently diagnosed with RA, though i have yet to receive any medications or treatments for it. i am a 44 yo female. i have been feeling awful and two days ago, developed a boil on my chin that just seems to want to grow despite all the medications i've been putting on it (prid, boil ease etc). are the two related, or am i just "lucky"?

Hi. Thanks for posting your concern at HCM.

I would keep a possibility of Furuncle. It is not related to RA.

Antibacterial ointment alone are sometimes ineffective because they cannot reach the depth of the infection

In such a case i would have wanted you to take an oral antibiotic for a week along with hot compresses and topical antibacterial ointment twice daily.

An OTC pain killer twice or thrice daily will help you with the pain part.

take care
regards
