Have Bronchitis, Pain In Chest And Trouble Breathing. Any Need To Worry?
My friend has been diagnosed with bronchitis . It is causing him pain on his right front side below his breast and is causing him to have lots of trouble breathing . He is a smoker. Today he was perscribed prednisone and a Z- pak. Tonight just sitting on the couch watching tv he is having cold sweats. Should we be concerned? And he hasn t smoked for 2 days.

Usually bronchitis don't causes any pain.
Since the patient is feeling pain on the right side of lung with difficulty in breathing , prescribed prednisolone + Z pak .
History of smoking is there , so assessment of case is necessary.
Since , from how many days your friend having bronchitis , please mention?
If pain is severe and also with breathing then consult a physician and get his opinion along X ray chest as might have , pneumonitis or consolidation of right lung.
