hello, i had the flu about a week ago and got over it in about 2 days, but then it developed into a dry caugh. Today I looked in my mouth and seen the back of my tounge has bumps on it. The cough is really bad when i go outside and breath the cold air. I don t really have any other syptoms other then this bad cough. Any ideas?
Some amount of cough after a flu is common and if that is the only symptom then you do not have anything to worry about. Just wait for a week or two and it will definitely subside. If it does not subside then see an ENT for the same. The small bumps on the back of the tongue are follicles and papillae which can become big when theres infection. Even they will settle in a week or two.
Meanwhile take lots of warm fluids, do not strain when you speak and avoid cold air
wishing you a speedy recovery
