Have Burning Rash On Face, Neck, Arms And Around Eyes. Used Steroids And Amoxicillin But Gain Coming Back

I have a burning rash on my face, neck and arms. It is especially bad around my.eyes. It has gotten progressively worse over the last few weeks. I went to the doctor last week and he prescribed a six day regimen of steroids and amoxicillian. It seemed to help at first but when I finished the steroids it has come back worse.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi,

If the rash comes and goes., it would be chronic urticaria .

There are many causes of urticaria.

It may be idiopathic .

As the disease is of long duration , it is considered chronic urticaria.

You consult dermatologist for firm diagnosis and perfect treatment.

If the cause is found, it should be treated.

Antihistaminic like fexofenadine may be taken for long time.

If needed, steroid may be taken in tappering dose.

I hope you got my answer.

Thanks.
