Have Chest Pain And Was Hospitalized. All The Test Done. What To Do For This Problem?

I experienced chronic chest pains on Sunday morning. On Monday morning I phoned my Doctor who advised to go to casulalty. I did, and had various tests ie blood and ECG. I take tables to blood pressure and gaviscon and omerprazole. However after a number of hours was not diagnosed with heart problems. These chest pains occur quite frequently and am quite worried as they often wind me, I am 68 years young I go walking ever week with different groups of ladies and with my husband at weekends. Gym 3 times a week and water aerobics ever week I am fit but these chest pains really do worry me. I also have been told I have an hiatus hernia, could it be that or kidney stones

Hi

Thanks for asking.

Chest pain is not always due to the cardiac problems, various causes of chest pain are:

Cardiac
Muscular
Indigestion/ esophageal spasm

As you are having hiatus hernia, there is a high probability that the pain you are getting is due to reflux gastritis/ esophagitis.

Please consult a gastroenterologist to schedule an endoscopy , you will probably need strong acid suppressive therapy.

Thanks.
