Have Coloured Discharge From The Vagina. Have Been On Depot Provera Shot. What Could Be The Cause?

I've been on the depot provera shot since march. And I had sex last week for like 3 hours. Today when I pee'd I wiped a redish pink color and it is concerning me and making me worried. My doctor said I could possibly spot while on this birth control shot but I haven't yet. Could I be spotting now or what could cause this. Please get back with me ASAP!!

Thanks for the query.

Yes, there is more possibility that the spotting is due to the side effect of the depo.
Minimal spotting will subside soon. No need to worry.
If the spotting increases or prolongs better to consult gynecologist once and get evaluated to find out the cause.
If depo is confirmed to be the cause, you can go for additional dose of hormones for few days to control the spotting.
