Have Constipation Due To Medications Taken. Have Prolapsed Bladder. Taking Miralax. Suggestions?
I have chronic constipation due to the meds I take. I have a prolapsed bladder and must keep from being constipated. I started Miralax 3 days ago and after the second day I had a normal movement. I need a regime to know how often to take this productmoncevI have achieved success. I am in otherwise good health and m 86 years old.
I understand your concerns. I am glad that you had a normal bowel movement after taking the miralax. It is a laxative medication that is available over the counter and if you take the medication it will help with easing your bowel movements. If the response to the medication has been good, it might be good to take the medication with every meal, one teaspoon would be appropriate. I believe that you will do well with medications for other issues if you have them and consulting your doctor if you need to. Phone calls to let you doctor know of the positive or negative effects of the medication are helpful.
I hope this helps. Take care and have a lovely day!
