Have Cramps During Periods. Taking Concerta. Related?

Hi, I m 16 years old and I started taking concerta 6 months ago. I was wondering if it s possible that this medication gives me painful cramps when I m on my period? Usually I don t feel different when I have my period and never felt the symptoms other women complain about. So can it be Concerta? I also noticed the medication makes me feel sick all the time but I was told that my body needed time to adjust and get used to it.. Anyways thanks for taking your time and helping me!

Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
Concerta ( methylphenidate ) is used in A D H D.
The most common side effects of concerta is nausea and drug dependence beside cramps , so need not to worry .
Your treating doctor is right , you will take sometime to adjust this drug.
Pain or cramps during period is also due to side effects of concerta and it will adjust as time goes on.
Good luck.
