Have Degenerative Change In L5-S1 Intervertebral Disc. Need Explanation
degenerative change noted in L5 -S1 inter vertebral disc seen in the form of normal signal intensity.disc bulg is noted at L5 -S1 level causing anterio thecal indentation. please sir can u explain it to methe above sentences are given in MRI report.presently i am not having report my sister is facing the problem last year he fell down from steps from that time she is unable to sit for long she working as a teacher in hyderabad(A.P)IN INDIA.Here doctors told her that if her pain still contiune she need a surgery
As regards the degenerative change it occurs after certain age and is common however in case of disc bulge with thecal indentation there may give rise to problem as being experienced by your sister as she is unable to sit for long time as the thecal indentation can compress nerves that caused this symotom.
It is better to consult an expert eg spine surgeon who can do surgical correction of the problem if that is not being managed by conservative approach.
thanks and hope this improves with treatment.
