Have Developed Fundic Gland Polyps In My Stomach, Not Malignant. Stopped Using Proton Pump. Taking Kinpride. Suggest?
i have developed fundic gland polyps in my stomach but fortunately they r not malignant. there are several of them n im supoosed to remove some of them periodically n stop using proton pump inhibitor for my fifteen yr old gastitises problem. i have been advised to take kinpride tabs instead. I want to know if these tabs are as effective as proton pump inhibitor and whether they have any side effects on longer use.
I understand your concerns. I am also glad that the polyps are not malignant. I wonder why you stopped using the proton pump inhibitors, however kinpride can be very effective as ell. I think that regular visits with an upper GI endoscopist, once in 3-6 months, to get the specimen tested pathologically would allay your anxiety. I also would recommend that you visit with a psychiatrist to detail the onset and course of progression of your symptoms and have a biopsychosocial treatment to the condition.
I hope this helps. Take care and have a lovely day!
