I am having the rest of my teeth removed due to decay and will be getting a full denture. I am on insulin 3 times a day and also a slow release insulin once a day. Hello, thanks for the query to H.C. M. Forum.
Since you are a diabetic patient .
Healing of wound is very difficult in diabetic so you don't worry as it will take some more time than usual.
You want the answer of two question.
First of all please, wash mouth by gargles with a solution containing (CHLORHEXIDINE GLUCONATE, SODIUM FLUORIDE, &ZINC CHLORIDE ).
Now about food, please have a diabetic diet special made for these patients.
If your work is brain related than you require only 1300-1500 calories.
Sugar free syrup is available so you can have it.
Please control your diabetes at first.
Consult a physician and get in antibiotics which suits you most.
Have a good luck. Dr. HET
