Hello,

The energy drink is full of sugar in some for or the other.

Any food which raises 50 mg/dl of sugar in blood within 1 hour of intake is not advisable in a diabetic needs to be avoided.

Before training your may take some form of complex carbohydrate which will release sugar slowly and steadily into the blood and this will keep you energetic while training.

Hi,
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic,
You are known case of Diabetes you have not mentioned are you taking insulin for control or tablets.
If you are insulin dependent diabetic and following exercise training you should consult your treating Physician regarding this.
These are herbal products and simple sugar consumption can cause rise in blood sugar level as they are high glycemic index food items.
You can take help of Dietitian to provide good protein and diabetic diet with complex carbohydrates with low glycemic index. Food with low glycemic index release sugar slowly and maintain glucose level.Food which increase sugar level quickly should be avoided.

Physical exercise can also increase your demand of calories that is to be taken in to account.
Take care.
Good Luck.
