Have Done Pelvis Ultrasound And The Report Suggest PCOD. Evaluate?

hello sir i have done ultrasound pelvis and the report says - Both ovaries show increased central stroma with multiple peripherally arranged follicles within. no free fluid is seen in Pouch of Douglas.
IMPRESSION: FINDINGS SUGGEST - PCOD.
Adv.. Hormonal Evaluation and Corrrelation!!
can you please tell me what is the problem actually. thank you

Hi..
Thanks for the query...
The ultrasound picture shows multiple small cysts in the ovary which go in favor of PCOS/PCOD..
The symptoms are irregular periods, scanty menstruation, excessive wt, infertility..
It can be treated initially with hormones and other medicines like metformin etc.,
Other options are laparoscopic rupture of follicles if required.
I advise to consult a gynaecologist for further evaluation and treatment.
