Have Every Symptom Of Enlarged Prostrate, Taking Cipro, Worsening Everyday. Any Suggestions ?
im 24 and i have every symptom of an enlarged prostate including painful urination, trouble urinating, inflamed urethra, uti/ bladder infection. the doctors where stumped when they did all the tests.. no std's and they told me that its extremely rare for a person my age to have all these symptoms... i havent ever hade a prostate check but im thinkin that would be the next step. im taking cipro right now but my symptoms are getting harder to bear every day... can u make any suggestions what i should do?
At your age, enlargement of prostrate gland is very rare.
First I would suggest you to confirm the volume of prostate gland. This can be done by gettaing an ultrasound scan of your abdomen. Also the volume of urine in urinary bladder must be recorede before and after urination..
A consultation with urologist is necessary and they will do an uroflometry.
Please do nopt worry as medicines exist which help in reducing size of enlarged prostate to normal.
Hope this helps,
Dr Anjana Rao
