Have Eye Irritation And Redness. No Medication Till Now. What Can The Cause And Remedy For This?
about 3 months ago my eyes started becoming irritated and red, they always watered and became sensitive to wind and sun etc. over time the sensitivity has gone away and the wateryness but the red rash and now grown all around my eye and is now flaky and some times massive bits of skin come off. i have been to doctors and the eye doctor said it was an allergy but i havent changed anything in my diet or life at all and am not allergic to anything and my other doctor said its a form of acne. i would like to know what it is. thankyou
It seems that you are suffering from allergic conjunctivitis and the peeling of skin around the lids is due to irritation caused by watering of the eyes which you had for 3 months. You should have warm compresses around the lids in both eyes and apply some steroid ointment on the lids 3 times a day.
You can also use some fluoromethanol eye drops 3 times a day for about 1 week and it has to be tapered off depending upon the response in your eyes. You should take some anti-allergic tablets also.
Please have good nutritious diet and take care of hygiene of your eyes.
Regards
