Chemical peeling involves application of chemicals like glycolic acid, salicylic acid etc over face. They cause controlled damage of skin and peeling of dead skin.
It is a good treatment for acne ,acne spots and melasma.
It is somewhat not so effective for scarring for which other treatment modaliteis are available like dermaroller, dermabrasione etc.
You can have a talk to your doctor about this treatments.
Medicines which you are applying are correct and you can continue with them.
I hope this can solve your problem.Take care.
